Pixel Toys have spent almost a decade pushing the capabilities of mobile and VR gaming. We have developed multiple award-winning titles, including: Gunfinger, Warhammer 40,000: Freeblade, Drop Dead and Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Realm War.

The Role

Pixel Toys are looking for an IT Network & Security Engineer to help us create wonderful, entertaining games, with high-end graphics, built for various platforms (mobile/PC/Mac/web etc..). The role is key to the team as you will be ensuring IT processes and systems used by everyone in the company are secure and meet legislative and partner compliance requirements. In this role you will have the opportunity to work in a flexible environment, and to add your own ideas into the mix in order to support the teams and together create the most enjoyable games possible. 

Your Responsibilities

  • Maintaining IT excellence in the studio
  • Supervise operations of network and server infrastructure
  • Implement and maintain data, network and system security
  • Implement and maintain monitoring systems and compliance reporting
  • Monitor logs to identify and resolve potential issues
  • Work with internal and external partners to understand current and future risks from an IT security perspective
  • Aligning IT Network and Security with current and future business requirements and goals

Key Requirements

  • 2-3 Years experience in a similar role
  • Experience working within an IT security team
  • Broad knowledge and experience of IT security
  • Great knowledge of 
    • Operating systems including Windows and Linux
    • Networking technology (switches, routers, WAP, Firewalls)
    • Networking infrastructure and protocols.
    • Firewalls and other security systems
    • Implementing cloud security
    • Cyber security risks and tools
    • Experience of vulnerability management. 
  • A very high level of attention to detail
  • Analytical approach to identifying and resolving issues
  • Able to communicate clearly at all levels with ability to relate complex issues and risks to non-technical people
  • Able to identify and communicate risks so people understand potential impact
