Associate IT Support Engineer

Based in the heart of Leamington Spa, Pixel Toys have spent almost a decade pushing the capabilities of mobile and VR gaming. We have developed multiple award-winning titles, including: Gunfinger, Warhammer 40,000: Freeblade, Drop Dead and Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Realm War; and we’re now excited to be exclusively working on a new game, unlike ANYTHING we’ve done previously!

The Role

We have an exciting opportunity for an Associate IT Support Engineer to join us on our
ambitious journey! This is a crucial role where you will be maintaining, extending,
and improving the IT systems we use, ensuring the highest possible quality
standards.

 

This role will offer you the opportunity to work in a flexible
environment and to contribute your own ideas to support the team in creating
the most enjoyable games possible!

As a Junior IT Support Engineer, your primary responsibility will be to maintain IT
excellence in the studio, including daily operations of network and server
infrastructure. You will also be responsible for maintaining data, networks, and
systems, as well as developing and maintaining disaster recovery, backup, and
network recovery plans.

 

About you

We are seeking a candidate with proven experience in a similar role in a
professional environment, working in areas such as desktop support, network
setup & support and server maintenance. You’ll be a self-motivated individual
with a positive “can-do” attitude, paired with great written and verbal
communication skills.

You will also be proficient with, or have good working knowledge of Google G-
Suite, Windows & MacOS Desktops, Physical hardware (server & desktop), Source
control (Perforce, SVN, GIT), and Atlassian administration.
