Role: QA Lead

The Role:
Pixel Toys is looking for an experienced and talented QA Lead to work in partnership with the
development team on our next AAA mobile title.
As a QA Lead, you will join an experienced cross-discipline team working on an exciting AAA
mobile title, where your management skills, enthusiasm, and communication skills will help
build productive and happy QA team. Working in the heart of the development environment,
the successful candidate will play a key part in defining testing processes, supporting and
mentoring a small team of testers and helping the team release quality products.
What you will do:
  • Work with the development team through the full project lifecycle
  • Manage a small QA team and ensure internal and external milestones are being passed
  • Work alongside third-party partners overseas to schedule outsourced testing
  • Recruit and mentor more junior QA testers
  • Ensure our games meet our internal quality bars
  • Create, populate and maintain test plans, both written and using TestRail
  • Define test cases and tools requirements, on a feature by feature basis
  • Create clear and accurate bug reports, and maintain the JIRA bug database
  • Ensure QA are testing milestone releases and new features in the correct manner.

What you’ll need:

  • Experience managing QA teams and individual testers
  • Experience testing through the full development cycle on at least one mobile title
  • A high-level understanding of QA as a role within the industry, and what makes good practice for QA in games
  • Experience working with JIRA or similar bug tracking software
  • Ability to write and execute test plans
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A passion for playing and making games
  • Managed build process via Jenkins or similar
  • Managed both internal and external test teams
  • Knowledge of mobile usability guidelines
  • Created QA tools specifications for the development team
  • Experience using TestRail or similar
  • Experience using Unity and source control software
