QA TESTER

Based in the heart of Leamington Spa, Pixel Toys have spent almost a decade pushing the capabilities of mobile and VR gaming. We have developed multiple award-winning titles; including: Gunfinger, Warhammer 40,000: Freeblade, Drop Dead and Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Realm War. We are a forward thinking and innovative studio; always looking for new ways to develop our games and make an even more exciting experience to play for our customers!

We are excited to be continuing to grow our team; and are always on the  lookout for highly talented, motivated individuals, who are passionate about gaming, and excited about what they may be able to bring to our team at Pixel Toys!

The Role:

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with an excellent eye for detail to join our QA team to test our upcoming titles.

This role is key for maintaining and upholding the quality of our games; ensuring that any potential bugs or design improvements are caught and fixed to ensure that the quality of our games is as good as it can be before reaching the market.

The QA Tester must be able to effectively capture and document any issues accurately and efficiently; communicating any issues clearly to the team, and subsequently follow up by testing any relevant fixes to ensure that they are effectively resolved prior to the games release. You will be responsible for generating bug reports, analysing test results and recommending areas where titles could be improved, in addition to maintaining and creating QA documentation where required.

We are looking for individuals with previous QA experience who can test our games to a high standard whilst following outlined test plans, but also having the ability to use your own initiative where prevalent; raising any concerns you may encounter for resolution.

We are looking for individuals with excellent communication, organisational, and problem solving skills. You should have a keen eye for detail; with the ability to pick up patterns and ensure accuracy in the data you communicate to the team.

Ideally we are looking for candidates who have previously worked in the gaming industry, with a good understanding of games development cycles, terminology and iterative design, and who have demonstrable experience in relation to game mechanics and design. It would be advantageous if you have experience of using JIRA; knowledge of automated testing tools, in addition to an associated Degree or ISTQB Certification.
